Gujarat welcomes Pathan brothers with open arms

Vadodara, September 26:- The two brothers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan who were part of the victorious Twenty20 World Cup squad were accorded a warm welcome in their home town when they flew into the Harni airport from Mumbai.
Large number of fans and Youth Congress workers who were awaiting the arrival of their heroes, bursted crackers and garlanded the cricketers on their arrival.
The City Mayor Sunil Solanki, secretary of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, Pankaj Jani, senior officials of the Baroda Cricket Association also garlanded the duo.
The fans shouted slogans `Irfan Zindabad, Yusuf Zindabad' and `Chak de India' while welcoming to the two into the city.
Irfan and his brother preferred to travel in a decorated open jeep enroute their house in Tandelja locality of the city.
The jeep was decorated by the Baroda Youth Sports Club, the place where both the brothers learnt their cricket.
They were taken to their home in a procession which was escorted by the police.
"BCA will organise a separate function to felicitate, both the Pathan brothers and give them a cash award of Rs 11 lakh each," said Samarjeetsinh Gaekwad, Vice-President of BCA.
